Just as I thought, there was some infection at the tube site. The doctor took it out (EXCRUCIATING), but now I'm finally tubeless. I feel "free". :-)
I was given a prescription for an antibiotic and told to take it easy. I'll go back Monday to make sure there is no swelling.

Woo hoo! Hang in there. It's a roller coaster - just put your hands up in the air, open your mouth wide, scream and ride it out. Glad you are now tube-less; guess that means you won't be wearing tube tops this summer :)

I was praying that it would hurt too much. I knew that you would be on an antibiotic. I hope this aids the healing process.
