After my trip to Arkansas, I had several insurance EOBs that had come in the mail. The little shot I receive the day after chemo - Neulasta - costs $9,500 a pop!!! Yes, you read that correctly. It's almost 3 times the cost of the chemo itself. I am so grateful to God for medical insurance. Now, I wonder what on earth happens to those without?

WOW!!! That is crazy expensive! Hope you are feeling well and have enjoyed your summer as much as you can. Can't wait to see you again soon!
What on earth does that "little shot" do to cost so much?????
I remember freaking over the cost of Zofran during one of my pregnancies, i think it was $20 a pill or something. I can't imagine how anyone could pay for the cancer meds w/o insurance. Yikes.
Hi Karen...Hope you are feeling well after that shot. I hear it knocks off your feet. I too am thankful for our insurance. My first bill was $46,000. I was blown away. Take care!
